Pride Month: Intersection of Disability and LGBTQ+ Identities with Nicole Adler In-Person
In celebration of Pride Month, special guest speaker Nicole Adler will lead a discussion on the intersection of disability and LGBTQ+ identities, as well as discuss her work in California government advancing the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities and the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition to being a distinguished speaker and human rights advocate, Adler has also made history as the first San Francisco Pride Community Grand Marshal with Down syndrome in 2024, representing the intersection of disability and LGBTQ+ identities. Since 2014, Adler has served as a governor-appointed member of the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. Her commitment to inclusivity has led her to participate on the advisory committee for California’s Disability Thrive Initiative, which offers statewide training and resources to Californians of all abilities.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Camarillo Library.
