Camarillo Reads: Teen Crafternoon DIY Hebao (Ages 13-18)

Camarillo Reads: Teen Crafternoon DIY Hebao (Ages 13-18) In-Person

Crafternoons is a series of afterschool craft activities for teens in the Young Adult Center.

Join us in making a simple version of a traditional hebao to celebrate this year’s Camarillo Reads selection, Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See. A hebao is a small pouch traditionally used to carry personal items, as Chinese hanfu did not have pockets. When used to carry herbs, it’s known as a xiang bao.
